Just looking

Looking to buy a new laptop. Have that Up fans make a loot of noise. Is it just one model or all models?

@Rtog7

ALL fans on ALL modern laptops will make a lot of noise from time to time -- that is unavoidable.

Why?

Because the new laptops, while thinner and lighter, also have more powerful processors (which generate more heat) and have less space for the heat to evaporate -- making the laptop hotter and causing the fans to run faster.

Also, every week, Windows Update forces patches onto Win10 laptop, and that pegs the processor at 100%, driving up the heat and speeding up the fans.  This can last from several minutes to several hours -- and is unavoidable.
