I've been wanting to replace the keyboard on my laptop with one that is backlit but I'm running into an issue with finding the correct keyboard. I even read somewhere that if the keyboard I'm replacing isn't backlit, if I get a backlit it still won't work.....
Is that true? If my laptop doesn't currently have a backlit keyboard there's nothing I can do?
Below I've linked the two keyboards I have in my shopping cart on Amazon. I'd prefer a dark cover and keyboard like I currently have but I haven't been able to find one that's backlit. If someone could give me a link to one that would be fantastic!!!! I recently found a website called computer-keyboards.com but I wasn't able to find one that matched what was listed in the maintenance manual for my laptop. Just in case, I've also added the details for my laptop. Can someone PLEASE help me figure this out!!!!!!!

Hi,
Yes it is possible to install a backlit keyboard.
The part number for the backlit keyboard ash silver is L22749-001
So you can search with part number online to find a compatible part
Example
It is not the easiest part to replace as you need to remove all the parts from the PC and then place them in the new Keyboard\top cover.
As the service manual states
"The top cover with keyboard remains after removing all other spared parts from the computer."
