Hi,

Recently, my laptop had only been charging up to 77%, and then when I removed and re-attached the charging cable thrice, each time it went up by 1%, and stopped doing so at 80% and now it is stuck there. I tried the online solutions by troubleshooting the battery, re-installing the battery drivers, etc. Finally I tried the Hardware Diagnostics UEFI test and as shown on my attachment, it returned a failure ID: OU1U4M-975A7P-XD7W2K-COCAO3 (not even sure if it's meant to be the alphabet O or number 0 when I typed out the ID). It says the battery needs replacing, although I am not able to find the battery online as I have no details about it. My laptop product ID is 4RE79EA#ABU. Please advise what I can do to fix my battery's issue.

The battery test results indicate the battery should be replaced.

Tests aside, the battery is a candidate for replacement at this age.

 

The details in the code make no difference to the outcome - regardless, any details in the coding are only available to HP Support.
