Able to download but not able to install ELAN fingerprint sensor Driver

Hi @UKJALLI 

 

Welcome to the HP Support Community. 

I see that you are able to download the ELAN fingerprint sensor driver but unable to install it. Do not worry, we are here to help you with it.

 

May I know from where did you download it? 

Did you use the HP website to download it?

 

If you haven't done it yet, please update the BIOS using the HP Support assistant: click here for details,

Once done, restart the device and check if it works, if it does not, try the below steps:

  1. Open the Settings app. You can do that quickly by using Windows Key + I shortcut.
  2. The settings app will now appear. Navigate to the Apps section.
  3. Locate the fingerprint reader software on the list and select it. Now click the Uninstall button.
  4. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the uninstallation process.

Update the drivers from the HP website. Here is a link: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp133001-133500/sp133105.exe  

 

And if that didn't help, create a new user account and check if that works,
