My Laptop is a HP ProBook 440 G5 and I am not able to upgrade it from tpm1.2 to tpm2.0. Pls can someone help me?. It shows "The firmaware image cannot be used to update the current tpm firmware". Pls help I have been stuck for months now.

Click this link and go to 'Business Notebook PCs' -> HP ProBook 440 G5 -> sp87753.

Infineon TPM Security Update | HP® Support

 

Download sp87753.exe and run it as administrator and follow on-screen instructions.

 

Go to C:\SWSetup\SP 87753. You'll see the user guide which shows how to upgrade to TPM 2.0.

 

You just need to run TPMConfig64.exe as administrator. If it recognizes your TPM 1.2 version, most likely, it'll upgrade to TPM 2.0.

 

If you encounter an error, check 'Returned Codes' (error codes) in the user guide for troubleshooting.

If you're unable to update from TPM 1.2 to TPM 2.0, check your BIOS settings, manufacturer support, and firmware updates. Some devices may not support TPM upgrades.
