HP ENVY 13-ay1000 x360 Convertible PC (3T487AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I have a bit of a problem. I just bought my HP Envy x360 and I am just getting used to it. I tried to flip the screen to use it as a tablet. When I flipped it back into laptop mode my keyboard and mouse were not working. Does anyone know how to fix this? I have talked to my roommate who also has a HP laptop but hers uses windows 10 so she did not know what to do. It might be very simple, but I am used to use a Macbook Pro so I am very lost atm. PLEASE HELP

Hi@CaroGa,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing issues with the HP ENVY 13-Ay1000 X360 Convertible PC mouse and keyboard not working on tablet mode.

I have a few recommendations

  • Try the steps recommended below. Go into the Settings --> Personalization --> Taskbar --> Turn System Icons On or Off --> and turn on the Touch Keyboard. Also, try the steps recommended below to change the tablet settings. Press the Windows key + R - On the Run command type in regedit and then click on OK
  • Click on this link for further settings https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04856156
  • Update your Notebook computer to the latest BIOS from HP.COM.
  • Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.
  • You can try doing Reset PC Keep my files from windows and check if it works.

If the issue persists in Bios then it is a hardware issue on the screen.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
