Hi @Kevsenior,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Chromebook isn't charging and there are no lights indicating that it's charging,
here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
Check the Power Source:
- Make sure the outlet you're using is working by plugging in another device.
- If you’re using a power strip, try plugging the charger directly into a wall outlet.
Inspect the Charger and Connection:
- Ensure that the charger is firmly connected to both the Chromebook and the power outlet.
- Look for any visible damage on the charger or cable.
Perform a Hard Reset:
- Power off your Chromebook.
- Disconnect the charger.
- Press and hold the Refresh key (a circular arrow) and then press the Power button.
- Release both keys and reconnect the charger.
Leave it to Charge:
- Sometimes, if the battery is completely drained, it may take a while for the Chromebook to start charging. Leave it plugged in for at least 30 minutes and then try turning it on again.
Check the Charging Indicator:
- After reconnecting the charger, check for any lights on the Chromebook. Some models have a light on the charging port that indicates charging status.
Try a Different Charger:
- If possible, use a different charger that is compatible with your Chromebook to see if it charges.
Remove Peripherals:
- Disconnect any external devices (USB drives, peripherals) from your Chromebook and try charging it again.
Examine the Charging Port:
- Check the charging port on the Chromebook for any debris or damage that might prevent a proper connection.
If none of these steps work, there may be a hardware issue with the battery or charging circuitry.

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
