This laptop only came with 29 GB. I have little to nothing saved and I’m almost out of space. 400mb left. Have tried cleanup but most is taken up by google sync 300mb and Microsoft mail and calendar 55mb. Most of my space is taken up by essientail softwares. I purchased Sandisk ultra 128 gb SDXC but cannot move/ save files

Since the eMMc soldered in memory acts as a hard disk and installed memory, you are between a rock and a hard place.
I would reinstall as minimal of an installation of Windows 10 as possible.
Once that is done, install a bare bones word processor to make the Stream device useful.
You can use USB flash drives to save files. They are considerably faster and more reliable than SD cards. It is also unfortunate that you can't install programs to the SD cards because they are too slow.
I don't really consider the Stream devices to be notebooks since their storage space in incredible limited. The only viable options will be Microsoft OneDrive or some other cloud based storage.
