Notebook Expansion xb3000
Microsoft Windows Vista

At first I write my problem in italian, than I try to translate in english.

Grazie!

I have an Omnibook 6000 PC purchased about 10 years ago, and I would like to change it with another more performing HP.
But I also have 2 Docking Stations HP xb3000 Notebook Expansione Base (see photo 1), to which I have connected all the peripherals both at the office and at home.
These Expansion Bases are connected to the PC through a special male plug (see photo 2).
But I fear that all the new laptops on the market do not have the female plug anymore (see photo 3).
I ask you if exists an adaptor that switches the male plug in a different female input (HDMI, USB, ...) which allows me to be able to use these Expansion Bases on a new PC.
Thank you!

Those docks were great. They are a thing of the past. There is no adapter or other way to use the old dock with a new computer.

The way data moves around in a computer is entirely different now than it was in 2005 so the basic architecture is so different they will not work together. I hope that helps.

I'm a little sad, but your answer was quick and precise.

But I can always hope for a future miracle.

Even vinyl records are coming back into fashion...

🙂

Thank you!
