You're very welcome, Angelo.

If your notebook is in very nice condition, you can't buy one equipped like you plan to upgrade it for $129 euros.

Those upgrades should make a very nice improvement.

I hope W10 works good enough for you.

It will install the drivers for the graphics, but the Intel graphics may not switch to the AMD graphics when you place a high graphics demand on the Intel GPU.

If you don't play a lot of video games and just use the notebook for web surfing, checking e-mails, and video streaming, you should be fine running off the Intel HD graphics, since it probably wouldn't use the AMD GPU anyway.

Hi, @Camaleonte

Yes, the  Crucial MX500 500GB CT500MX500SSD1 SSD Interno-fino a 560 MB/s, 3D NAND, SATA, 2.5 Pollici, Metallico should work fine.

First confirm that your notebook can support 2 x 8 GB of memory...

1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator. This will open the command prompt.

2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacity and hit enter. There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.

The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.

If the report indicates you can install 2 x 8 GB of memory, then I recommend you buy two of these memory chips...

Windows 10:  I do not recommend you upgrade from W8.1 to W10 because the Intel/AMD switchable graphics won't work as there are no W10 drivers for that graphics combination.

There may be other issues such as the audio not working and the wifi not working.

If you want to try upgrading to W10 anyway, you can do that for free by clicking on the blue Update Now button at the link below.

Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)

If things don't work right, as long as you don't delete any files, you have 30 days to easily go back to W8.1

Paul thank you for your answer, which was very helpful to me.
The number released by the cmd is 16777216, which divided by 1048576, is 16. So I can increase the memory by replacing the two of 4 with two of 8, using the ones you indicated: (Crucial RAM CT102464BF160B 8GB DDR3L-1600 SODIMM Laptop memory 1.35 V CL11)
For the operating system I will do as you told me, I try with 10 if not I go back to 8.
The cost should be 53 euros for the SSD and 37.99x2 for the memories, for a total of 129 euros, do you think it's worth it?
Thank you very much you have been very kind and precise in your response.
Angel

Hi Paul, thank you again for your previous help, but I think I made a mess.
Let me explain better, I wanted to do a clean installation of the win10, I purchased the license online, downloaded the system to USB, formatted all the HDD, losing the 8.1 with the activation key connected to the PC, and installed the 10.
As already indicated by you the radeon video card does not recognize me. Indeed, even if it is the only problem, it is an important problem. What should I do now? What do you suggest? Do I have to buy back the activation key of win 8.1 or is there a way to recover the key of the operating system that was installed by default on the pc? So to reformat everything and then install the 8.1 with the relevant drivers on the HP site?
I thank you
Angel

Hi, Angelo:

Here is how you can reinstall W8.1 for free by using the W8 product key in your notebook's BIOS.

Install W8.1 by creating the Microsoft installation media, using another Windows PC if yours is not working...You want the plain W8.1 64 bit ISO file.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows8ISO

At the beginning of the installation routine, you can delete every partition on there.

If you are asked to enter a product key during the installation process, use this generic key.

This is the generic key for W8.1 'standard.'

If you had to enter the generic key, manually change the generic product key to the W8 'standard' key in your PC's BIOS in the PC settings menu.

After you get W8.1 installed, and you had to manually enter the generic product key, you will need to run the free utility I zipped up and attached below, that will show you show the W8 product key in your PC's BIOS.

I have also zipped up and attached below, the Microsoft tool which hopefully will transfer the ISO file to a DVD or USB flash drive so it is bootable.

Then you can install the available drivers and software from the PC's support page.

If the showkey plus report indicates that your notebook came with W8 Single language, go back, download the W8.1 64 bit Single Language ISO file and use that one instead.

Use this generic W8.1 Single Language key to initially install W8.1 SL.
