HP Pavilion Gaming - 15-ec1073dx
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello,

I have a HP Pavilion Gaming - 15-ec1073dx with 250GB SSD hard drive, I would like to know if it is possible to upgrade to 1TB or 2TB SSD and what are the recommended/part number?

In the same way with the Ram memory, I would like to know what are the recommended parts to upgrade my device to the maximum

Right now the disk is full and one of my ram sticks is failing.

So I need your recommendation with Amazon links if possible, with each of the recommended parts to upgrade to the max of my laptop:

- RAM
-SATA 2.5
-M.2 NVMe SSD

Thanks in advance

Hi:

HP only has the service manual for the older 15-ex0xxx model series.

Maintenance and Service Guide HP Pavilion Gaming 15 Laptop PC

According to chapter 1 of the manual, HP offered NVMe SSD's up to 1 TB in storage capacity.

You can install up to 2 x 16 GB of DDR4-3200 memory in your notebook.

I recommend either the Samsung 980 (not 980 Pro) or the Western Digital Blue SN570 NVMe SSD as an upgrade to your existing SSD.

Memory:

16 GB chip

Crucial 16GB DDR4-3200 SODIMM | CT16G4SFRA32A | Crucial.com

8 GB chip

Crucial 8GB DDR4-3200 SODIMM | CT8G4SFRA32A | Crucial.com

Perfect, thank you very much. And finally, what is the maximum allowed capacity of sata 2.5 ssd?

You're very welcome.

It appears that HP offered only one option...a 1 TB 2.5" drive.

I don't see any reason why you couldn't install a 2 TB 2.5" drive in there.
