My laptop is 15s-gr0511AU AMD Athlon Gold 3150U APU the mainboard is HP 87D2. the specification on the ad. say 4GB DDR4 ram @2400 single slot bran new from the dealer.
But when I test with many programs it shows that I have one SK Hynix DDR4-3200 4GB on my device. Also the DRAM Frequency of my machine always show 933.0MHz. not more than this.
I check with Windows performance in task manager, it shows Speed 2400MHz and slot used 1 of 2.
my question is:-
1.HP 87D2 with AMD Athlon Gold -what's the max ram bus I can put on. I can't find the spec of HP 87D2 anywhere.
2.How DDR4-3200 is on my board instead of DDR4-2400 from the factory (which it doesn't make any sense because DDR4-3200 cost more than 2400).
3.if it's a DDR4-3200 for real, when I'd like to upgrade more ram ,do I have to put DDR4-3200 instead of DDR4-2400.
4.why my Ram Frequency is just 933MHz. is it suppose to be at least 1100-1200MHz.
Thank you for all your kind advice,
Pat.

Thanks for such an early reply. just some quick questions,
-I'd like to upgrade more ram, in this case I should take the DDR4-3200 out and put 2 of DDR4-2400 4GB.each or 8GB. each is better than put any 3200 in. Because it's going to run @2400 anyway, right?
-what about the Ram Frequency why it can run only 933MHz. instead of around 1200MHz. what can I do about it to make it run 1200MHz.
Thanks.
