Common problems for Battery
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about: Battery Reports, Hold a charge, Test and Calibrating Battery . Check out this link: Is your notebook plugged in and not charging?

G5 250
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The AC charger of my HP 250 G5 disconnects and reconnects itself. The HP Support Assistant tool says "the battery is connected, but it may not be charging" (but it is charging). The notebook is about 3 years old, but di problem is very recent. I would like to know if I need to change the battery or the power supply.

Thank you for the help and sorry for my English.

I linked you to the 4 cell option which is nominally 14.8v. The system can take either a 3 cell at 10.95v or the 4 cell. The motherboard converts the power input from the battery to the power which actually drives the computer. There are 4 or 5 different battery makers on amazon.com and I really have no way to endorse or criticize any of them. If they qualify for amazon prime, amazon does monitor consumer complaints so you have some assurance it is a quality product. In the USA where I am from, I have had very little problem with 3rd party batteries. The sellers seem to be very willing to correct any problem.

The battery is external, removeable, click in, correct? If you remove the battery will it run OK on just the AC power? If so the problem is the battery and it just needs to be replaced. Happy to help you find one.

It is removable. I removed the battery and it works without problems (it seems even faster!). In addition, I noticed that the problem only occurs when it is below 70-80%. When the charge is up 80%, the power supply does not disconnect, but the charge becomes much slower. I think the problem is the battery.

Yes it seems so.

Thank you again. But I have 2 questions:

All the products you linked (both compatible and original HP) are 14.8 Volts, but mine is 10.95 Vdc and 2850 mAh (807956-001, 31Wh). Is it a problem? Is there a difference between the European (Italy) and American versions?

Is FSKE the best manufacturer of the compatible ones?
