I have a hp 15-bs015dx laptop and I'm wondering if it has a mini PCIe slot in it.

Hi:

 

No, it does not, but it does have a M.2 slot that supports SATA SSD's only, not NVMe.

 

See chapter 1 of the service manual for the expansion slots that come with the notebook.
