So I had been using my external SSD as my boot drive for a few months already. It works perfectly fine on my desktop and my previous laptop (Asus) without any problem. But then when I tried to boot it using the laptop, it simply doesn't work. I've tried to turn the secure boot off, shift restart in windows to choose the bootdrive. All of them simply doesn't work. When I tried to boot it the latter way, the laptop is going to boot into something; then, an error message will pop out and show "The selected boot device failed, Press <Enter> to Continue". A boot drive selection list will be shown but there's only the windows installation drive is there.
My SSD is Samsung T5 external SSD. Does anyone have any idea?

Install a live version of Linux to a USB flash drive by way of rufus to see if it will boot.
