HP EliteBook 840 G7 Notebook PC

Recently I purchased and connected a USB-C to HDMIx2 to hook up my 2 monitors, the display is working well, no issues with that, however, there is a constant notification beep every few seconds which has been annoying. I have tried this:

  1. Select the Start button, and then select Settings.
  2. Go to System > Notifications & actions.
  3. Do any of the following: Choose the quick actions you'll see in the action center. Turn notifications, banners, and sounds on or off for some or all notification senders. Choose whether to see notifications on the lock screen.

I have turned off sound off for all notifications, however, the beeping continues every few seconds. Please help.

Thank you.

The USB Type-C port is probably drawing more current than it should.

For the longevity, or service life of your notebook, you would probably be better off using a compatibe self powered dock instead of a gender changing adapter.

Something on the order of an HP Thunderbolt Dock 120W G2.
