@ATT7, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
Check the Num Lock Key (For Numeric Keypad)
If the issue is with the numeric keypad on the right side of your keyboard, check the Num Lock key:
Press the Num Lock key to toggle it on or off. When Num Lock is on, the number keys should work, and when it's off, they usually don't function as numbers.
The Num Lock indicator light (usually near the top of the keyboard) should be on when it's activated.
Restart Your Laptop
Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve keyboard issues:
Check for External Devices or Keyboard Settings
If you're using an external keyboard, make sure it's connected properly and not in a "sleep" mode.
Check Windows Settings to see if any specific keyboard options have been modified. Go to:
Settings > Time & Language > Language > Keyboard settings
Make sure your input language and keyboard layout are correct.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
