After about 2 months of ownership, the number pad on my Pavilion Gaming laptop has suddenly stopped working, The Num Lock key is unresponsive.
Apart from normal Windows updates no changes were made to my memory.
I've followed the suggestions from the HP Guided Troubleshooting for keyboards including performing hard reset, rolling back to previous restore points etc with no luck.
Can anyone help please?
Many thanks

Hi @frenchian
Welcome to the HP Support Community. Thanks for bringing this to our notice.
I see that you are facing keyboard-related issues on your system. Do not worry, we are here to fix it.
- May I know from when are you facing this issue?
- Did you make any hardware or software-related changes to it?
- Could you please try connecting an external keyboard and check if the issue persists?
- Also, may I know if the On-Screen keyboard works on your system?
Test the keyboard with a diagnostic tool and let me know:
If your keyboard is not working as expected, use the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics tool for Windows to help identify any issues.
In Windows, search for HP PC Hardware Diagnostics for Windows. Right-click the app, and then select Run as administrator.
If the app is not installed on your computer, download the latest version from the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics for Windows website.
On the Main Menu, select Component Tests.
Select Input Devices, select the keyboard test, and then click Run once.
Follow the instructions to test the function of the keyboard.
When you complete the tests, the results display on the screen.
Passed: The keyboard functions properly and as expected.
Failed (with an ID number): The keyboard experienced a hardware failure. Write down the battery status and Failure ID and let me know.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
