So I let my daughter use my laptop for some homework. Then I used it next, and now I’m having issues with it. Some numbers on my numeric keypad will show as I type and some won’t. The numbers on my keyboard will show sometimes and then sometimes won’t. Along with the symbols with the numbers won’t show. Only shotcut that I’ve tried that won’t work now is the ALT+Tab. I need help!

Welcome to HP Forums. This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

I have gone through your Post and I understand your concerns

I suggest you run a Keyboard Test to confirm the Hardware Functionality

- Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
- Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second.
- When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
- On the main menu, click Component Tests and Keyboard

Keep me posted how it goes

Thank you 😊

So I did the Keyboard Test, and yeah it basically confirmed what I was talking about.FDB55FE8-5EAC-47B5-A796-C83A84633722.jpeg

Thanks for getting back to us. Appreciate you trying the steps suggested previously. You were previously interacting with @KrazyToad but he is out of the office. So, I'll take over from here and assist you accordingly.

I'd suggest you try re-installing the keyboard drivers as this will reset all the keyboard settings -

1) In Windows, search for and open Device Manager.

2) Double-click Keyboards.

3) Right click on the keyboard drivers and click on uninstall.

4) Restart the computer.

Hope this help!

Let me know how that goes.
