The problem is that when I run premiere or after effects with the Nvidia graphics I can't see the preview and I can't edit because I'm going blind, I don't know if anyone can help me.
I have already tried to change the processor settings and GPU acceleration inside premiere and it doesn't work, it only works when I force the program to open with the intel integrated graphics, which is much worse.

Hi @javiggracia,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're experiencing issues with your NVIDIA graphics card not working properly with Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects on your Victus by HP gaming laptop. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve this problem.
Update Graphics Drivers
- NVIDIA Drivers: Make sure your NVIDIA graphics drivers are up to date. You can download the latest drivers from the NVIDIA website.
- Windows Updates: Check for any Windows updates that might include important driver updates.
Configure Graphics Settings
- NVIDIA Control Panel:
- Right-click on your desktop and select NVIDIA Control Panel.
- Go to Manage 3D settings.
- In the Program Settings tab, add Premiere Pro and After Effects.
- Set the preferred graphics processor to High-performance NVIDIA processor for both programs.
Check Premiere Pro and After Effects Settings
- Project Settings: Make sure that the project settings in Premiere Pro and After Effects are configured to use GPU acceleration:
- Premiere Pro:
- Go to File > Project Settings > General.
- Set Renderer to Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (CUDA).
- After Effects:
- Go to Edit > Preferences > Previews.
- Under GPU Information, ensure that the GPU is recognized and selected.
- Premiere Pro:
Disable Hardware Acceleration
- If the above steps do not work, try disabling hardware acceleration:
- In Premiere Pro, go to Edit > Preferences > Playback and uncheck Enable hardware accelerated decoding.
- In After Effects, go to Edit > Preferences > General and uncheck Use GPU Acceleration.
Check for Conflicting Software
- Ensure that there are no background applications or services that might be conflicting with your GPU. Close unnecessary applications and see if that helps.
Reinstall Adobe Applications
- As a last resort, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. Make sure to delete any residual files related to the applications during the uninstall process.

Check for Windows Graphics Settings
- Go to Settings > System > Display > Graphics settings.
- Set both Premiere Pro and After Effects to use the High performance setting if available.
Check for BIOS Settings
- Sometimes, BIOS settings can affect how the graphics are managed. Restart your laptop and enter BIOS (usually by pressing F10, F2, or Delete during boot). Look for graphics settings and ensure that the NVIDIA card is prioritized.
After trying these steps, test Premiere Pro and After Effects again to see if the issue is resolved.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
