I had upgraded the HP Envy X360 13 with Ryzen 2500u from the 128GB nvme drive it came with to an Intel 660p 1TB nvme drive.
Everything seemed to work fine but the laptop would occasionally BSOD. It almost always BSOD'ed while on battery.
Tried this using different approaches.
1. Cloning the 128GB onto the 1TB.
2. Doing a completely fresh install with Windows 10 media.
Both approaches exhibited exact same problem.
I put back the OEM 128GB in it and the BSOD's went away.
Is this laptop upgradeable to regular off-the shelf nvme drives?
Thanks
p.s. In addition, installing AMD Catalyst drivers directly from AMD would completely hose the laptop to the point where there is no mouse pointer and almost no response from keyboard. Performing a restore fixes this. Same question, can the generic AMD catalyst drivers be used?

I don't have your particular model but I have also upgraded my original nvme drive with a larger one. I have noticed (via software) that the new one seems to run a little warmer than the old one. Mine had a foil heat sync which I left in place with the new one.
Does your "event viewer" (right click the start button and select event viewer) show anything in the error or critical categories? This may help isolate the problem.

Thank you for the update.
I have checked the manual and your laptop support 1-TB, PCIe-3×4, NVMe, TLC.
I would suggest you install back to 1TB SSD and perform the hard drive test and check.
1) Shutdown the computer.
2) Turn the computer back on again and repeatedly tap on the ESC until a Startup menu appears.
3) Press F2 once.
4) Go to the Component test.
5) From the list, run the Hard Drive (extensive) test.
Please let us know the result.
Have a nice day!!

Thank you for the update.
In that case, please update the BIOS and check for the issue.
