OMEN 17.3 inch Gaming Laptop PC 17-ck0000 (2Y4A9AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I have turned on the Adaptive Battery Optimizer from BIos but diagnostics show :

Adaptive Battery Optimizer: Enabled/Not Activated with no option to activate it.

Is there a way to activate it?

Actually what I want to do is to prolong the battery life since I use my laptop as a desktop replacement.

In my previous laptops I could either remove the battery with a single move, and/or set a maximum charge eg 80%. The Omen 17 (2021) has no option to limit the charge and it is always 100% which will degrade battery's life. Also removing the battery is not an easy thing to do and maybe even void the warranty.

Does somebody have any solution for this?maybe even a software utility?

many thanks in advance for your replies
