OMEN 17-w205na keyboard the w and q keys have failed it is the keys themself not the covers.

I need to know here I can purchase a replacement keyboard I can fit.

I can find ones claiming to be UK ith the "7" shaped enter which mine does not have.

Hi,

The keyboard comes as one part with the top cover so can be quite expensive

The fix is also quite demanding as you need to dismantle the PC and remove all parts from top cover and place in new top cover

The part number for the UK one is 862973-031

Difficult to find. You could try getting in contact with this company who usually can lead you to a site where can be purchased

The US layout is probably easier to find (part number 862973-001)

Hope it helps,

Hi Daivd,
thanks for the information,

I guess the US keyboard/top cover will work with the uk laptop.
I can just change the layout in the keyboard setting?

Thanks

Hi,

Yes you just change it in Windows settings.

Take care,

David
