Like so many others, many of my keys quit working and I am no longer under warranty. My $1500 laptop is barely 4 years old and I have to use a wireless keyboard with it... they don't even have the part to purchase, anymore. This is the most expensive computer I have purchased and can't afford a new one right now, so I am extremely disappointed. I definitely won't be buying HP in the future.

Laptop keys can be replaced. Some models are more difficult than others. Usually it is easier to replace a key or two than the keyboard.

Thank you. From what I've read from others, more and more will probably keep going out, which I don't really feel like dealing with. HP customer service sent me the product number to find a replacement keyboard, so I will probably go that route and just switch brands when I need a new one!

When shopping for a laptop you might want to look at the repairability index
Here is a laptop (Apple) that requires the rivets to be drilled out to replace a key.
