Hello,

I have an Omen 16-b1000, my CPU fan just stopped working, error 90B on the boot up screen if it's relevant. I'm currently in Bangalore, India. I'm looking for a replacement to the CPU fan but unable to find anything. Could anyone please advise on what are my options.

 

I've tried all the other HP support options and all of them lead me back to the support home page in one way or another so they are useless. My laptop just went out of warranty a couple of months ago unfortunately.

 

Note: What is really surprising to me is that HP promises M57161 and M57160 fan units in the user manuals but when I opened my laptop to check, it looks like mine had some cheap Chinese fans pre-installed with very different spare part/serial number. At this point I'm really surprised that a company like HP is a part of this kind of scam. I'm attaching photos of one of the fans that came with my laptop.
