Hi @Bhavya_11,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like you have an issue with the left fan on your OMEN 16.1 Inch Gaming Laptop. A malfunctioning fan can indeed lead to several problems, including overheating and potential damage to the laptop's components. To address this issue, you can try the following steps.

  • Check for Obstructions: Make sure there are no dust, debris, or any other objects blocking the left fan. Turn off your laptop, unplug it, and gently try to clean the fan area with compressed air or a soft brush.
  • Update BIOS and Drivers: Sometimes, updating the laptop's BIOS and drivers can resolve hardware-related issues. Check HP's support website for the OMEN gaming laptop model you have and download the latest BIOS and driver updates.
  • Reset BIOS Settings: Access the BIOS settings during startup (usually by pressing a specific key like F2 or Del) and reset the BIOS to default settings. Sometimes, changes to BIOS settings can cause fan-related problems.
  • Run Diagnostic Tests: Many laptops have built-in diagnostic tools that can help identify hardware issues. Access these diagnostic tools and run tests to check the fan's functionality.
  • Avoid Overheating: While you're dealing with the fan issue, it's essential to avoid overheating your laptop. Limit the usage of resource-intensive applications and games until the issue is resolved. Consider using a cooling pad to help dissipate heat.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
