Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Hi, I got a new Omen 17 and cannot register it nor is a manual available. Serial No equals an Envy. Any suggestions what to do? Thanks.

Firstly HP Omen 17 - dboo79ng  is INVALD. It should be HP Omen 17 - db0079ng (2 zeros, not letter o) that may explain why.  HPSA should help you to register your machine.

 

Basically you can use manual for the older series

Hi Banhien,

thank you for help. Meanwhile I could download the old manual. I made the mistake double oo instead of 00 only in this chat. For registration and actual manual I used HP Web Product Detection. It showed the same codes as printed on my device. They always lead to a HP Envy. Obviously HP uses serial numbers several times, which is confirmed by perplexity.ai. So next week I will contact official support by HP and report about results.

Meanwhile I could delete the Envy, register the Omen by hand and download the actual manual.

New problem: I bought in October, but guarantee starts in July. Action for nullification cannot be uploaded. Will try again the next days.
