Omen 17t-ck100

I'm about to pull the trigger on a new Omen.  A 17t-ck100 with 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD and 3070ti etc.

 

I have a couple questions about it:

1. Is the all the DDR5 memory in sockets?

2. If so, can it be upgraded to 64GB RAM in the future?

3. If the NKRO keyboard option the same layout as the default keyboard?

4. Is there there a second NVMe SSD slot?

Before making the purchase of this laptop last night, I asked these questions and the very patient sales person did verify from some internal experts that the answer to all those questions is yes. 

 

I'm selecting my own post as the solution at the moment, trusting that the HP sale team and their internal experts are right.  In a month or so, when I receive the laptop, I'll come back and update.

HP has not posted a Service Manual. We could make an educated guess from the 17-ck000 manual that the answer to all but 3 is yes, but it would be just a guess.

Thanks for the reply.  It looks like that previous models manual only referenced up to two 16GB memory (DDR4) modules for a total of 32GB.

 

I sure wish I could find confirmation that it's expandable to 64GB memory in the future.  I really want this laptop to last me years!

If you have faith in the Crucial memory report for the model series, they indicate support for 2 x 32 GB of DDR5 memory...

Awesome, If the 17t-ck100 and what Crucial is calling a 17-ck1 are the same PC model!

They should be.

 

Crucial indicates the 64 GB of DDR4-3200 memory was supported in the older 17-ck0000 model series.
