Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm plugging 2 new Oment laptops into HP USB-C docking stations that we purchased with the laptops. 

 

The USB-C ports on the laptops have the charging icon printed above them which makes one think this port also charges the laptops. 

 

The laptops will not charge through the docking station and instead we have to have the provided charger plugged in. Kind of defeats the purpose of a $170 docking station. 

 

Anyone know if there is a setting that allows charging through this port or is this just not an option with this laptop?

One of the user provided this step. Credits goes to @TomCoup

 

1) Power down laptop with power attached.

2) Remove battery.

3) Power up laptop with power attached.

4) Power down laptop with power attached.

5) Insert battery.

6) Power up with power attached to dock.

7) Joy.

I don't know if this is still an issue but I'll still answer (I didn't try this out myself):

If the USB c plug is a thunderbolt one, you will able to charge your Laptop with it.
