Hello,

The new Omnibook does not recognise the docking station.
The light on the station turns on for 2 sec and turns off again.
Any suggestions ?

Hi @Alex1293

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It sounds like your HP OmniBook Ultra Flip 14 isn't properly recognizing the docking station, which could be due to a power issue, driver conflict, or compatibility setting. Here are some steps to troubleshoot:

1. Check Power & Connections

  • Ensure the docking station is plugged into a working power outlet.
  • Try a different USB-C port on your laptop.
  • If possible, test the docking station with another device to confirm it's functioning.

2. Restart & Reset Devices

  • Restart your laptop and docking station.
  • Unplug the docking station, wait 30 seconds, then reconnect.

3. Update Drivers & Firmware

  • Open Device Manager (Win + X > **Device Manager`).
  • Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers and Docking Stations.
  • Right-click and select Update driver.
  • Visit HP’s official support page to check for firmware updates.

4. Enable USB-C Power Delivery (BIOS)

  • Restart your laptop and enter BIOS (F10 key during boot).
  • Navigate to Advanced > Power Management.
  • Ensure USB-C Power Delivery is enabled.

5. Test with a Different Cable

  • If your docking station uses USB-C, try a different high-quality USB-C cable.
  • Some docking stations require Thunderbolt-certified cables for full functionality.

Try these steps and let me know if you need further assistance! 😊
