Hi,
I have a question regarding my new omnibook ultra flip.
I feel like the body can flex a bit too much. Especially compared to other flip notebooks.
If I hold each corner at the bottom with the screen open, it can bend/twist quite a bit. The corners csn also bend uppwards a bit.
How much flex should this frame have? I've heard online that it should have very good build quality.
Thanks!

Hi @Axel211,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Thank you for reaching out about your concern regarding the body flex on your new HP Omnibook Ultra Flip.
Some level of flex is normal in convertible and ultra-thin devices due to their slim chassis design, lightweight materials, and hinge mechanism that allows the screen to rotate 360°. A small amount of twist or bend, especially when holding the device from opposite corners, is generally within design tolerance and shouldn’t affect durability or performance.
However:
If you notice creaking sounds, visible frame separation, or difficulty in opening/closing the lid, it may indicate an assembly or structural issue.
HP builds these devices with reinforced frames, so excessive flex beyond what’s typical for a flip device should be inspected.
I hope this helps.
