The device product ID is B12E9EA - HP Omnibook Ultra Laptop 14-fd0xxx

I just bought this laptop and it showed 100% battery when shutdown windows yesterday night  after I pulled the plug. Today it showed 93% at boot. Right now it shows 85% but there is no estimate on how long the battery will last.

Is this normal?

I found out that this was disabled in Windows. Perhaps by HP? It is understandable as there is 59% now and the estimated time is 3h1m (light browsing and in power saving mode). Hopefully it will get to a more reasonable value during usage. Because HP says this laptop should have up to 16h30m on battery runtime.

I applied the registry hack from Windows 11 Forum to enable it:

I am experiencing the same issue with my OmniBook Ultra Flip (1 week old). The estimated battery remaining time is not accurate and never showing more than 4hours on 100% charge.  Could somebody please helpin resolving this problem?

I bought an OmniBook and EliteBook. I applied a registry hack to enable the remaining time. But I have to say, I have other problems with the battery management. Eg. I can't set charge limit to lengthen the battery life on OmniBook like on laptops from Lenovo etc. Unfortunately in my case, HP had a good hardware combination with AMD Ryzen AI processor which is hard to find in my area. But considering the prices of these HP laptops, if it doesn't work, just return and get a new machine from a brand which has more sense to focus on better features.

Mine seems to be jumping around too. Perhaps the only solution is to use another brand. Just saying... I had no problems like these with new Acer and Lenovo laptops. (Acer bought in this year with similar configuration...)
