hi,

 

As shown in the screenshot, one of the laptop fans is stuck at 100-200 rpm while the other fans is running at high speeds and the CPU temp is also relatively high. Not sure if this is a hardware issue or a software one.

Fans are controlled by heat sensors. Depending on the heat on its area, sensor will "tell" how fast the fan can run. From my view, this is a good design.

 

Hope this makes sense.

However, in my case, both the fans are on the same heat sink. Not sure if we would have two different sensors with one always making the fan run at 100 rpm.
