I own an HP Pavilion gaming laptop equipped with an R7-4800H processor, 1650ti graphics, and an 8x2 DDR4 RAM configuration.
One day, I encountered an issue where the system displayed only 8 GB of RAM. Upon troubleshooting, I swapped the RAM sticks and confirmed that both were functional. It became evident that one of the RAM slots was not recognizing the memory.
In an attempt to resolve the issue, I updated the laptop's BIOS, but the problem persisted. I am now seeking advice on potential solutions.
Would it be advisable to consider a 16x1 RAM configuration as an alternative? Alternatively, should I explore the option of seeking repairs at a local service center?
Your guidance on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
