I need help, the left port of my laptop stopped working just like that. This has happened twice before. The service centers say that this is not a warranty case and just charge $ 6 . This solves my problem , but after 2-3 months the port stops working again . The warranty is still valid and will be valid for about another 2 and a half years . I have always been interested in how they repaired my laptop , the specialist always avoided answering and gave inaccuracies , please help. I tried to delete the usb ports in the device manager and updated them again , it didn 't help

I see you are experiencing USB port issues with the HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop

 

I have a few recommendations 

  • Update your Notebook computer to the latest BIOS from HP.COM.
  • Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date. 
  • Check if both the USB ports work fine.

If the issue persists then it could be a hardware issue on the USB port. 

 

As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now. I would request you to contact our HP Support Engineers and should be able to sort this out.

 

Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service/replacement options.
