Hello HP Community,
I am reaching out to seek guidance on how to claim the warranty for an SK Hynix SSD that was included with my laptop. Although the laptop's warranty has expired, the SSD is covered under a separate 5-year manufacturer warranty. Could anyone advise on the process to claim this warranty? Are there specific documents or proof of purchase required? Any assistance on how to navigate this situation would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi:
Any warranty provided by the individual component manufacturers are only valid if you purchase the drive as a customer and install it yourself.
All components installed by the PC manufacturer are only covered by the PC manufacturer's warranty (normally one year).
SK Hynix indicates in your case that you have to contact HP, which of course would be a waste of time.
