I find myself having to replace my hard drive. Following the instructions fro removal of my HDD, I do have an optical drive and I removed the one screw holding the drive in place. It should slip out and it doesn't. It does come out about an inch or so and stops. Something seems to be holding it from completely slipping out. I gave the model number above if there may be some additional instructions.
Please help!

I have gone through your Post and would like to help
To remove the DVD Drive, you just have to remove the single screw at the bottom of the Notebook and pull out the drive. Sometimes it might be stuck so you need use some force wiggle it and pull it out or even use a screw driver to pry it out
You can refer to page 49 in the Service Guide: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06189775
Thank you
