Hello, I own an HP 15-ac137nr, and here's a link to my model just in case needed:
https://www.amazon.com/HP-15-ac137nr-15-6-Laptop-Computer/dp/B016WX8IES
I was looking into upgrading it by adding in a SSD instead of its optical drive, but I just can't seem to find its dimensions (or even its name) online, nor can I even check it manually, as I left it home, and I'm on vacation right now where I can buy SSDs for much cheaper, so I wanted to take that to my advantage.
If anybody could find me the model of the DVD that is uses, or better yet the size of the hard drive caddy I need to buy, that'll be absolutely amazing!
Thank you!

Hi! @SushiHoushy, Thank you for joining the HP Forums!
I understand you would like to know the optical drive size on your laptop.
Don't worry I'll try to help you out.
Did you make any software or hardware changes on your PC?
I have checked the records according to the records the size of the optical drive is 9.5mm.
Just to keep you updated SSD cannot be made bootable in the optical drive bay.
You can get the advantage of the SSD only if you put it in 2.5 inches in SATA primary HDD bay.
After that, you can move HDD to optical drive caddy for storage.
Hope this answers your query!
Have a great day ahead! 🙂
