What is the best Blu Ray Optical Drive upgrade for my Star Wars Special Edition Notebook - 15-an000na (ENERGY STAR)? Will any  9.5-mm tray load fit?

Not really, many of them will fit but workable is a different story. If you wish, you can use

 

   Blu-ray Disc R/RW with SuperMulti Drive For use in silver models part # 809334-001

I'm using the following one, it can write BD's too and very reliable
