Option to turn off Power-button led light bc in the dark, it's annoying and very distracting if one is watching video.

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

Are you referring to keyboard backlight or power button led light? If this is to do with the power button led light, unfortunately there i no option to turn it off.

If this is to do with the keyboard backlight have you tried to turn off using F5 key.

If you're not sure how to turn off keyboard backlight, please go through the support document for - HP Notebook PCs - Turning a Backlit Keyboard On or Off

In case if the keyboard backlight stopped working, I would suggest here is to update the Bios on your PC either from our HP Support website, using this link or download it from HP Support Assistant.

Download and install HP support assistant on your PC. It should automatically download and install the latest updates and drivers for your PC.

Refer this link to know how to use HP support assistant.

Yes, the POWER-BUTTON LED. Not keyboard backlight.

It's annoying, in fact all led lights! even hard drive led. I hate distraction while I am watching videos in the dark room.

I have the question too but the led light on the Power Button is red, and it's not only annoying but very discomforting, as well as distracting while playing games or watching films.

I have an OMEN by HP Laptop 15-ce0xx. The keyboard backlit is in red too but at last i can turn it off whenever I want.
