Hi @Cheeey

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP laptop (HP 15 series) has a blinking orange light and is having charging issues even after being power drained and fully charged at the service center, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

1. Check the Power Adapter

  • Verify Compatibility: Make sure you're using the correct power adapter for your laptop. Using an incompatible charger can cause charging issues.
  • Inspect for Damage: Check the power cord and adapter for any signs of damage or wear. If you see any frays or cracks, you might need a replacement.

2. Examine the Charging Port

  • Look for Debris: Inspect the charging port on your laptop for dust or debris. Use compressed air to gently clean it out if necessary.
  • Check for Damage: Ensure the port itself is not damaged or loose.

3. Remove the Battery (if removable)

  • If your laptop has a removable battery, turn off the laptop, unplug it, and remove the battery. Hold the power button for about 15 seconds to discharge any residual power. Reinsert the battery and plug the laptop back in.

4. Perform a Hard Reset

  • Shut down the laptop and disconnect the power adapter. If the battery is removable, take it out. Press and hold the power button for about 15-20 seconds, then reconnect everything and turn it on.

5. Update BIOS and Drivers

  • Sometimes, charging issues can be related to outdated BIOS or power management drivers. Visit the HP support website to check for updates specific to your model.

6. Battery Health Check

  • Check the battery's health using HP's built-in diagnostics tool. You can access it by pressing Esc when the HP logo appears during startup, then selecting F2 for diagnostics. Look for a battery check option.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
