HP Envy 17-n107ng
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I am looking for the original model number of the original battery for a HP Envy 17-n107ng. The officially page just states "Li-Ion-Akku, 62 Wh, 6 Cells" which is very vague and makes it hard to find an original battery or a replacement. Can anyone tell here tell me the original model number of the battery please so that I have a better chance at finding a replacement battery?

Getting in direct contact with the official HP support seems to be a major struggle. First I wasn't able to receive my password reset email on web.de (which is my main email and was previously used to register here) because the system wouldn't let me register with my default email again (account already exist). But this might be an issue with web.de which is a very sh*tty email provider anyway. This was fixed by using an Outook email instead where the registration email arrived instantaneously but now the HP service page wants the Serial Number of the device from me and when I enter that Number it just states that this service is currently not available. So there is currently no way for me to initiate direct contact with HP. Awesome customer service I have to say. *thumbs down*

The series uses 2 types of batteries (page 18 of the manual)

  • Battery (4-cell, 41-Wh, 2.8-Ah, Li-ion) part # 807231-001
  • Battery (6-cell, 62-Wh, 2.8-Ah, Li-ion) part # 805095-001

In your case, it is the second one which is N/A from HP Store:

You can use part # to order elsewhere including eBay . It is an old style of battery and Newegg sells it for $68.49

Regards.
