Can I overclock my pavilion g6 notebook? Will I need to purchase a different fan that will fit in my notebook?

Officially, no...you can't overclock it. There's no fan you can install that would remedy the overheating and stability issues caused by overclocking your PC. I wouldn't recommend overclocking a notebook even if you could easily do it.
You can research some 3rd-party options but the risk of hardware failure is on you.
