HP Omen 17 (Energy Star)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, my HP Omen 17 (Energy Star) has recently begun crashing a lot because of overheating (I've checked in the error history and it says it reached a critical temperature and had to shut down). I've tried blowing strongly into the vents to clear dust, and I use it in an air-conditioned room (around 26ºC air temperature), but whenever I do anything such as playing a game, after 1-2 minutes it crashes. I've noticed on the HP website that there have been lots of BIOS updates since the one my laptop has installed (13/10/2016), some of them labelled as critical, should I install the latest? Also, should I take off the bottom of the laptop to make sure there isn't loads of dust in it? Thanks!

@Hubbit

HPSA installed new BIOS on my Omen yesterday, the fans are quieter and machine is now cooler. I don't play games but sounds like it is getting better, Please try the latest BIOS for your machine.

Regards.
