Hi:

Since your notebook's M.2 slot supports NVMe SSD's the Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB SSD should work fine.

You may also want to take a look at the Samsung 980. 

Not quite as fast a sequential write speed as the 970, but it cost less and will probably run a bit cooler than the 970.

Did buy the Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB SSD on sale.

Installed it.

Samsung Magician  says it does not support the driver Intel 18.6.1.1016 (Compatibility issue) 

It recommends the Microsoft driver or the NVMe driver, but it won't update the driver.

Can't update the driver in Device Manager either.  It says that I have the latest driver.

How do I install a compatible driver?

Hi:

You have to use the default NVMe driver that W10 installed.

Most generic Microsoft drivers are dated from 2006.

NVMe wasn't even heard of in 2006, so the date is meaningless.

You have the latest driver.
