HP ENVY x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15-ey0000 (54J84AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi,

I started using the notebook about a month ago and I immediately noticed that the battery runs out very quickly (less than three hours of use). I proceeded to update all divers through HP Support Assistant App (including the latest BIOS driver). I also ran the battery diagnostic test with no malfunction detected.

I set the default configuration (balanced) the energy saving function on windows 11.

In practice it seems to me that I have already followed all the indications published on the support site when problems like this occur.

Thanks for the support.

Hi @Laura968,

Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I see that you are facing battery issues with your HP ENVY X360 15.6 Inch 2-In-1 Laptop PC 15-Ey0000 (54J84AV).

I suggest that you follow the steps listed below to update the drivers from device manager:

1) In the Windows search box on the desktop, type “Device Manager” and then click on it.
2) Expand “Batteries”.
3) Right-click the "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery" that is listed there.
4) Click on “Uninstall”.
5) At the prompt put a check in the box to remove the current driver
6) Restart the computer.
7) When the computer comes back up it should automatically find the driver.
😎 Go to Device Manager.
9) Expand Batteries.
10) Right-click the "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery" that is listed there and click on update drivers.
11) Click "Search automatically for updated driver software"
Do the same thing with Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Embedded Controller.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a nice day.

I have done the recommended procedure, I will wait a few days to see if the battery life performance improves.
Thank you.

Unfortunately, the PC keeps draining very quickly.

After a full charge, the battery is completely discharged in about 3 hours of "office" use, instead of the 11 hours provided by the technical datasheet.
