Hi,
I've just upgraded (clean install) from factory installed Win7 to Win10 Pro.
3 things;
a) I can no longer sign in with fingerprints. Which software do i need? The driver is upto date.
b) I no longer have any program/options to use blueooth in any way despite the BT Support service running.
c) i have an unknown PCI device (PCI Slot 7 (PCI bus 4, device 0, function 0) which is listed as miising and unable to find drivers. This is the instance path: PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_5227&SUBSYS_1942103C&REV_01\00000001004CE00000 .
Many thanks for whoever helps me out.

Hi:
You need this driver for the card reader (PCI Device).
The Realtek USB and PCIe Media Card Reader Drivers enable the integrated media card slot in supported notebook models running a supported operating system.
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71501-72000/sp71719.exe
What model wireless network adapter does your notebook have? That determines what bluetooth driver you need to install if your notebook came with built in bluetooth.
You need this software for the fingerprint reader to work:
HP Client Security Manager provides enhanced Windows login and website single-sign-on capabilities. Security Manager is also the host for HP Client Security plugins, and therefore should be installed before other Client Security modules. This package is provided for supported models running a supported operating system.

OK, the fingerprints now also work tahnk you.
Here are my wireless properties;
Protocol: 802.11n
Security type: WPA2-Personal
Network band: 2.4 GHz
Network channel: 1
IPv4 address: 192.168.0.10
Manufacturer: Qualcomm Atheros Communications Inc.
Description: Qualcomm Atheros QCA9565 802.11b|g|n WiFi Adapter
Driver version: 3.0.2.201
Physical address (MAC): 18-CF-5E-3F-85-84
What do i need to get my Bluetooth working again?
P.S there is no BT listing in the device manager.

You're very welcome.
I cannot find a W10 bluetooth driver for the Atheros wireless card your notebook has. I don't believe there is one.
The only suggestion I can offer would be to see if the Windows 8.1 driver works...

Thanks so much for helping me a random stranger!
Unfortunately the Win8 driver didn't work. However looking closer in Device manager revealed that there is an uptodate listing of bluetooth devices which was hidden for some reason.
The thing is, Windows settings doesn't seem to find it.

You're very welcome.
Sorry that driver didn't work.
Yes, it appears the bluetooth device is just not compatible with W10.
The driver is installed but the device is offline, and I would have no idea what you could do to unhide it.
It is probably not possible.
I guess that is why there are no W10 bluetooth drivers listed. I even checked the newer HP notebooks that have that wireless card and none of them have W10 bluetooth drivers either. Just drivers for the wireless card itself.
I did find an atheros BT driver for W10 from a Lenovo desktop.
You may want to give that a try.
