Hi, Recently I have bought a Pcie Gen3x4 ssd (Kingston A2000 500GB) and installed it in my laptop. But when I ran Crystaldiskinfo and SiSoftware Sandra lite 2021, both are showing that my ssd is running at x2 speeds even though both the Pcie slot as well as my ssd supports x4 speeds. Can anybody help me resolve this problem?

PS: My Laptop is running at High Performance mode and Pcie link state power management is turned offCrystaldiskinfoCrystaldiskinfoSiSoftware Sandra LiteSiSoftware Sandra Lite

The "X2" is not a speed rating, it is a bandwidth spec.  PCI-e slots come in different sizes, designated by x -- as in x1, x2, x4, x8, x16.  While a larger bandwidth will contribute to faster throughput, X4 is not twice the speed of x2.

Additionally, as in the case with my PC, when there are multiple PCI-e lanes, it is not uncommon when more than one lane is in use for ALL the lanes to be throttled back.  For example, my PC has two x16 slots -- but when both slots are in use, the bandwidth is cut to x8 for both.
