Hello,
I am trying to Install Windows 10 x64 on my HP Laptop 17-cp0007a but the PCIe SSD is not showing up during OS setup. I can't find a driver on the Driver page for Windows 10 (or 11). According to HP Specs, the machine has PCIe SSD drive with 256 GB capacity. Where can I find this driver?

Updated my 2019 Windows 10 USB installer to the 2021 installer. Installer recognized the SSD and installed successfully.
Thanks for the help all.

Could you be a little more specific with your model number? The list I see here https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-17.3-inch-laptop-pc-17-cp0000/2100371514/product-info doesn't have a model 17-cp0007a. Or if it is correct, maybe we can try your Product ID instead as found here- https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00033108
At first glance at your problem, it seems you need storage drivers that windows 10 doesn't have in their installation drivers. If it is an 11th generation intel, check here for the solution- https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-15-f2000-laptop-pc-series/35900344/model/35900346/document/c...

My apologies, I mistyped the model number. The correct model number is 17-cp0007ca.
The laptop has an AMD processor but I tried the Microsoft Media Creation Tool via the link you provided nonetheless. With the newly created USB, the SSD is shown during OS install. I can't continue with this installation however because it is the Windows 10 Home version and I require the Pro version.
As you mentioned, it looks like the Windows 10 Pro version I'm using doesn't have the storage driver. The driver isn't available on the HP Driver page I linked to above. Should it be?

You should update your bios, too.

hello,
can you tell me what PCIe SSD drive you are using ? Manufacturer and model ? Can you possibly send a photo ?
=> The desired driver should be obtained from the manufacturer (of the PCIe SSD) and integrated into the installation media file (iso).
