Hello, I want to upgrade my ssd. I want to know wheter my laptop support ssd that has pcie 4th generation so it work with maximum speed. How to know this pcie generation? I use HP Pavilion laptop 14 ec0013au

HP PartSurfer indicates your motherboard has a Ryzen 5 5500U.  AMD's specs below indicate the processor supports M.2 PCIe 3.0.

 

HP PartSurfer

AMD Ryzen™ 5 5500U | AMD

 

You can install an M.2 NVMe 4.0x4 but it would run at gen 3.0 speed.
